HP-RTM (High Pressure Resin Transfer Molding) is an advanced molding process technology introduced for the mass production of high-performance thermoset composite parts. It involves injecting resin mixed with a catalyst under high pressure into a closed mold pre-laid with reinforcing fibers (such as Carbon Fiber or Glass Fiber).
Unlike traditional RTM, HP-RTM utilizes high-pressure mixing injection (1.0-15.0 MPa) and vacuum-assisted exhaust. This combination significantly reduces porosity, improves wetting, and shortens the curing cycle to just 3-5 minutes, making it a viable option for high-volume automotive production.
